Peter's Art wooden stretchers
We aim to offer the highest quality to our customers. That is why we produce our wedge frames from 100% pine wood from Polish forests. In comparison to other manufacturers, we choose to use pine wood, which still contains its natural resin. It is a bit heavier, but in our experience offers much more stability. In order to guarantee this additional stability, we do not produce any stretcher bars that are less than 20mm deep. Frames with a depth of 15-18 mm are more likely to warp.
The stretcher bars with the profile K30, K40, K60 and K70 have a slot for a middle section from a length of 50 cm and a double slot for a length of 200 cm and more. The profiles K65, K6570 and K10070 have a slot from 60 cm, a double slot from 2 m, a triple slot from 3 m, and a quadruple slot from 4 m. The same applies to the middle bars. If required, please contact us for oversizes and available profiles.
The following standards apply to frame sizes:
- 50 x 50 cm no middle bar
- 60 x 60 cm - 90 x 90 cm one middle bar
- 100 x 100 cm - 195 x 195 cm simple cross
From a strip length of 2m we recommend a double cross, i.e. a middle bar for the longer side and two middle bars for the shorter side.
- 2 x 2m - 2.90 x 2.90m double double cross
- 3 x 3m - 3.90 x 3.90m trippe tripple cross
- 4 x 4m - 4.90 x 4.90m quadruple quadruple cross
The profiles K30, K35, K40, K45 and K2060 consist of wooden parts inserted into each other and have a round edge.
The profile sizes K65, K70, K6570 and K10070 are multi-bonded and therefore particularly stable. This is particularly advantageous for large format frames. After the covering, the profiles have more space between canvas and strip due to the sharp edge.
