Holbein Acrylic Gouache Super Opaque
Turner Acrylic Gouache is a highly pigmented, opaque acrylic paint. The paints, made in Japan, are made with extremely finely ground pigments and have a liquid consistency that allows for even application of paint over large areas. They can be used with commercially available acrylic mediums and diluted with water. They are completely free of heavy metal pigments and are lightfast.

Materials that can be painted with acrylic gouache: canvas, mortar, slate, glass, iron, rigid PVC, styrene, expanded polystyrene, acrylic resin, etc.
Before use
- Dilute the paint with water in a ratio of about 2 to 1 for a homogeneous image reproduction
- For airbrush application, add glossy varnish in the same amount or in a higher quantity to the ratio of the mixture to adjust the tones and to increase the adhesion
- any type of brush can be used
- any type of palette can be used, except wooden and plastic palettes, as the paint can stick permanently to them
- before application, remove any grease from the surface to be painted with soapy water or similar
During use
- The acrylic gouache dries within 5 to 15 minutes and becomes water resistant. Add retarders to slow down the drying time. Wrap the undried paint in cellophane etc. if your work is interrupted.
- For an impasto technique, use Turnenr acrylic gouache with a medium gel or a modeling paste.
- Do not mix with other types of paint.
- When not in use, keep the brushes in water to prevent them from drying out.
After use
- Clean brushes and palettes before the paint dries. When they are dry, dip the brushes and palettes in water or AG cleaner. Once the paint layer has softened, wash the tools in soapy water.
