Product information "Gamblin Burnt Plate Oil 237ml" Burnt plate oils are used to lower the viscosity of the ink. Burnt plate oil should only be added sparingly to inks as the details of a print can be lost if the ink becomes too runny.Burnt Plate Oil #000 (SDS) has a lower tack and is a good fit for use with Gamblin Relief Inks. Burnt Plate Oil #2 (SDS) has a higher tack and is the primary oil binder for Gamblin Etching Inks
Gamblin Relief Inks
Gamblin Relief Inks are formulated for all relief techniques, including woodblock, linocut, monotype, and Solarplate. They contain the right amount of stiffness and tack to hold fine detail yet spread evenly on the block or plate. The palette of ten colors is designed to give artists intense pure pigmented colors straight from the jar, along with a wide range of color mixing capabilities.
Monotype printmaking, the most painterly of printmaking techniques, is very popular. While most painters and printmakers working in this process learn how to make any kind of ink work, the viscosity of Gamblin Relief Inks makes them ideal for monotype printing processes.
Gamblin Relief Inks are all bound in the highest quality Burnt Plate Oil.

BLACK INK Matching Your Ink to Your Technique
Gamblin Etching Inks
Gamblin Etching Inks were formulated at the request of professional printmakers in the Pacific Northwest who wanted strong reliable inks for edition printing. The palette of pure intense pigments offers a broad range of color mixing potential.
Five black inks and Graphite were formulated to meet the demands of printmakers who want deep rich black inks with good working characteristics. Portland Black and Portland Cool Black are ideal for edition printing; both offer a strong line and medium plate tone. For engravers, printers of mezzotints, or others who need more resistance from their ink, Portland Stiff Black is also available. Product information "Gamblin Tack reducer 150ml" Tack Reducer is a gel made from a very easy drying oil and is therefore fully compatible with the inks.By adding small amounts to the ink, the stickiness is effectively reduced. Tack Reducer is transparent so that the intensity of an ink color is maintained
Magnesium Carbonate is traditionally used to stiffen ink. It will also reduce an ink's gloss level. Once added to ink, Magnesium Carbonate becomes transparent and will not alter the color of the ink. We recommend adding small amounts at a time; little is needed to add body to an ink. Mix well. It can be used with both Etching and Relief Inks. SDS
Product information "Lascaux Inks 500 ml" The ready-to-use inks from Lascaux allow a limitless variety of effects when designing print positives. Lascaux inks form a unique range of innovative, ready-to-use, water-soluble products that have been specially developed for the production of print positives for "exposure-dependent" printing processes. The positives can be used in aqueous screen printing systems, acrylic-resist etching processes (ARE), solar plate printing processes as well as traditional printing methods. The ink markings appear in the print. Properties and areas of application The ready-to-use inks are used to produce hand-made, opaque markings on printing forms. Images can be painted on smooth PVC films or grained supports. The inks can also be used to alter images on photographic, digital or photocopied positives. Some supports can have greasy surfaces that repel the ink. These supports can be easily degreased with a household cleaner before use. Each ink has different properties and all have excellent working characteristics. Their properties vary from liquid, fast drying and waterproof to viscous, slow drying and resoluble. The inks offer a wide variety of marking possibilities, including fine drawings, painted marks, lithographic washes, stippling and soft ground effects such as etching,
airbrush markings, roller application, offsetting and pattern making. The inks are coloured for easy identification and can be mixed within an image. Lascaux inks can be used straight from the
bottle or diluted with Lascaux Diluting Liquid, water or tannic liquids
(in the palette or on the undercoat). Painted washes should not be manipulated in any way during the drying process. RemovalLascaux inks should be removed from brushes, tools and surfaces with warm soapy water before they dry. Dried ink can be removed with household cleaner. A non-abrasive bathroom cleaner
sponge makes removing the ink easier. Recommended carriers
