Floating frames are ideal for framing stretched canvases. Our floating frames surround the artwork with a 5 mm gap (the frame profile thickness is also 5 mm).

The frames are crafted from Meranti—a lightweight yet highly robust tropical hardwood. Meranti wood features a color tone ranging from light brown to medium brown, sometimes with a slight reddish tint. The precise shade of the wood depends on the specific batch (as it is a 100% natural product). The sample photo illustrates a light brown shade. 

Upon request, we can also produce floating frames using other wood types: oak, beech, ash, pine, thermo-ash, and walnut. 

Would you like the frame to be oiled? No problem—we offer that service as well. The benefits of oiling: it brings out the wood grain and deepens the color, protects against fading and discoloration caused by sunlight, and makes it easier to wipe away dust.
