Product information "Pattex superglue fluid 3g"
Pattex superglue
A superglue with a liquid formula for the precise dosing of individual drops. Can be applied to tiny areas and parts. Solvent-free and easy to use, for strong adhesion - in an emergency or in everyday life.
Product features:
Dishwasher-safe formula
Extra fast Fluid, flows even into the smallest corners and gaps
Clear, colorless liquid
Solvent-free
Application:
1. All surfaces to be glued must be clean (clean beforehand if necessary, if the nature of the material allows it), dry and a perfect fit, because the adhesive does not have gap-filling properties.
2. To open the tube, screw the entire cap tightly onto the tube. To continue using it, just remove the top cap. Apply just a small drop of Pattex superglue liquid to one of the surfaces. To dose, carefully and lightly press the sides of the stand-up tube (at the dosing points). The thinner the adhesive film, the faster and stronger the bond.
3. Press the parts together immediately, hold for approx. 10-60 seconds depending on the material.
4. Allow to harden for at least one hour.
5. The best results are achieved when the adhesive is used at room temperature (15 - 30 °C).
Area of application:
Ceramics and porcelain
Metal Wood
Leather and cardboard
Plastics and rubber (e.g. ABS, polystyrene and PVC-hard)
Not suitable for:
glazed, waxed and oiled surfaces, PP, PE and PTFE
Storage:
Store the adhesive in a cool, dry place to extend the life of the Pattex Superglue Liquid.
Superglues such as Pattex Superglue Power Easy Gel, Liquid, Glass Liquid and Plastix Liquid as well as Pattex Superglue Ultra Gel are very difficult to remove.
The basis of all these adhesives is a cyanoacrylate.
What you need:
Penetrating oil (e.g. cooking oil)
Textile cleaning agent
Hot water bath with washing-up liquid (e.g. Pril)
Soapy water
Oily skin creams
And this is how it's done:
Removing superglue from textiles
There is no panacea for removing superglue (cyanoacrylate) from textiles. In fact, the options are very limited. What you can try is softening the stain with a penetrating oil (cooking oil). To do this, soak the stain in the oil for a longer period of time. After that, it should be easier for you to mechanically remove the superglue from the textile.
You should then clean the textile several times by hand and with an appropriate detergent according to the manufacturer's instructions in order to completely remove the adhesive residue and oil from the textile. Another option is to soften the superglue in a hot water bath (over 80°C) for a longer period of time. This should also soften the adhesive layer, making it easier to remove the adhesive residue mechanically.
Removing superglue from the skin
First of all, superglue is not dangerous for the skin. Unless you have just stuck your fingers together, you can rest assured. Superglue reacts very quickly with the moisture in the skin and a film forms that can tighten the skin. Without treatment, however, the superglue will come off again after 2 days at the latest due to the moisture in the skin or sweat. If you want to speed up the process, we can recommend bathing your fingers in warm soapy water and slowly rubbing off the adhesive residue.
Applying a greasy skin cream to the edge of the adhesive can also be helpful. This can help the adhesive to soften at the edge and gradually come off.
Removing superglue from other materials
The same remedies as described above actually apply to other materials.
When using acetone, however, you should pay attention to its compatibility with the surface, as the solvent is very aggressive.
