A medium-strength acrylic body gel containing clear, round aggregates that dry to a semi-gloss, reflective ("bubbled") finish. For the most dramatic reflective effects, mix with transparent or translucent paints or apply directly from the container to dried paint. For reflective textured glazes, mix with Liquitex® Gloss Medium & Varnish and small amounts of Liquitex Soft Body Artist Color. Suitable as a base for acrylic and oil paints. Works well with brush application. 

Application 

Apply with different tools such as spatula, trowel, brush or cake decorating tips to achieve different effects. Mix acrylic paint with Liquitex Texture Gel or allow the gel to dry and paint on top. Mix with Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish to create textured glazes. Add Liquitex Gel Medium or Heavy Gel Medium when using additional aggregates (e.g. sand) to avoid brittleness. Apply varnish carefully to avoid foaming or clouding. Spray on if possible. 

General Information Contains special aggregates that create a variety of unique textural, dimensional and reflective effects when mixed with acrylic paint. All texture gels can be mixed together to increase the variety of textures possible. Formulated for maximum flexibility and adhesion, it will not chip or crack on canvas. Can be applied to any material or surface that accepts conventional acrylic mediums, such as canvas, paper, wood, etc. Liquitex texture gels are lightweight, non-toxic and dry to a water-resistant, non-yellowing finish.
