The Black Velvet® series is made from a mix of natural squirrel hair and black synthetic material, which allows the brush to absorb a large amount of color and deliver it with perfect control on watercolors, gouache, liquid acrylics, inks and dyes. The bristles are at the same time soft enough to allow glazing in multiple layers without affecting the previous colors and firm enough to remove the color by gently rubbing.
