Portland Litho Black is an artist quality lithography ink. This ink reflects the way we make all our products at Gamblin, focusing on high quality oil and high pigment content. Its body is very different to process black inks as we know that hand printing is slow and gentle and requires a true, rich black.
We strive for simplicity in the formulation of our materials, finding the perfect balance between the appropriate pigments and carefully selected oils. This makes our ink feel different to commercial inks from a can. Portland Litho Black has been used for both plate and lithographic printing and we are delighted to add it to our growing collection of oil based inks.
