Isolation Coat is a ready-to-use sealing coat for acrylic paintings. Previously, acrylic painters could only dilute Soft Gel Gloss with water (our previous and still acceptable recommendation) before applying it to the finished acrylic artwork. Isolation Coat eliminates the need for measuring and mixing while increasing flow and uniformity.
Isolation Coat is a permanent acrylic medium that seals the surface's absorbency and allows for improved paint application and easier paint removal. Apply one or more coats before painting. One coat of GOLDEN Isolation Coat should dry in approx. 10 - 30 min. If you want to be on the safe side, wait 1 day before applying the varnish.
