Purpose:

Protection of an oil painting Composition: Dammar resin, turpentine

Traditional final varnish

Apply after the paint film has completely dried (± 1 year with a normal thickness of the paint film)

Dries within a few hours

Can show signs of aging over time such as yellowing and craquelure

Produces a high gloss

The degree of gloss can be reduced by mixing with Dammar varnish matt 082

Can be diluted with white spirit or turpentine, clean brushes with white spirit or turpentine

Dry varnish layers can be removed with turpentine

Highly flammable
