Lascaux is bringing the tried and tested heat-seal adhesive 375 – a further development from BEVA – in a new formulation. The new heat-seal adhesive 375 P has been successfully tested by well-known experts. Important innovations: - Instead of the previous toluene, the HSK 375 P now contains the much less toxic solvent Propylal. This means that there is no longer any health risk when using it. In addition, the flash point of the new solvent is significantly higher. - The HSK 375 P is ready to use at the same concentration and is easier to handle. It is pasty and can be applied directly. There is no need to heat it in a water bath and the adhesive does not necessarily have to be diluted. - Solubility: We recommend the solvent Propylal, which is available from Lascaux. - The other technical properties remain unchanged.Application Instructions:Hot-seal adhesive (Heissiegelkleber) 375 is applied using a brush, roller or spray gun. For most of the work, Hot-Seal Adhesive 375 is slightly warmed up in a water bath and thinned approx. 2:1 to 1:1 with special boiling spirit 100/140 so that a creamy paste is obtained at room temperature. Hot-seal adhesive 375 is applied cold or warm (heat increases penetration). For spray application, it is advisable to dilute Hot-Seal Adhesive 375 with toluene in order to reduce the viscosity. Only after complete evaporation (approx. 12-24 hours) of all solvents contained can the doubling or sealing be carried out properly. In the case of doubling, hot-seal adhesive 375 is applied either to the doubling canvas or to an intermediate carrier (e.g. polyester fleece). The completely dried hot-seal adhesive 375 layer is sealed at approx. 62-65 °C on the heating table under a slight vacuum or using an iron or a hot air gun. The heat activation can also only take place after days or weeks. To fix and consolidate primers and paint layers, Hot-Seal Adhesive 375 is preferably diluted 1:4 with White Spirit, or, if compatibility is given, with toluene for better penetration (warm solutions also improve penetration). Sealing after complete drying at 62-65 °C and under slight pressure. Dismantling can be done either with heat or with solvents such as acetone or special boiling point petrol 100/140.

In fact, the options are very limited. What you can try is softening the stain with a penetrating oil (cooking oil). To do this, soak the stain in the oil for a longer period of time. After that, it should be easier for you to mechanically remove the superglue from the textile. You should then clean the textile several times by hand and with an appropriate detergent according to the manufacturer's instructions in order to completely remove the adhesive residue and oil from the textile. Another option is to soften the superglue in a hot water bath (over 80°C) for a longer period of time. This should also soften the adhesive layer, making it easier to remove the adhesive residue mechanically. Removing superglue from the skinFirst of all, superglue is not dangerous for the skin. Unless you have just stuck your fingers together, you can rest assured. Superglue reacts very quickly with the moisture in the skin and a film forms that can tighten the skin. Without treatment, however, the superglue will come off again after 2 days at the latest due to the moisture in the skin or sweat. If you want to speed up the process, we can recommend bathing your fingers in warm soapy water and slowly rubbing off the adhesive residue. Applying a greasy skin cream to the edge of the adhesive can also be helpful. This can help the adhesive to soften at the edge and gradually come off. Removing superglue from other materials The same remedies as described above actually apply to other materials. When using acetone, however, you should pay attention to its compatibility with the surface, as the solvent is very aggressive.
