Das Fixieren von bindemittelarmen Malmaterialien wie Pastell oder Kreiden führt nicht selten zu einer nicht unwesentlichen Farbtonvertiefung. Die Arbeiten verlieren bei einem Zuviel an Fixativ unter Umständen an „Leichtigkeit“. Auch kann das Produkt Malgründe wie z.B. Papier transparenter machen. Die übliche Schichtdicke des Fixativs hat keinen signifikanten Einfluss auf die UV-Beständigkeit der Malschicht. Retuschier-Firnis AEROSPRAY Basis Testbenzin 50418 Zwischenfirnis für die Ölmalerei. Das Hilfsmittel ist glänzend, farblos, nicht gilbend und schnell trocknend. Außerdem wirkt es nicht anlösend auf frisch getrockneten Ölfarben. Es kann direkt mit einem Schlussfirnis auf Testbenzin-Basis überarbeitet werden. Die getrocknete Firnisschicht bleibt löslich in Terpentinersatz (50019). Verarbeitungshinweise Ideal zum temporären Schutz von noch nicht fertiggestellten Ölbildern; egalisiert „eingeschlagene“, d.h. matte und bindemittelarme Stellen; verleiht zudem Tempera-Untermalungen einen Ölfarbenähnlichen Charakter. Dose vor Gebrauch kräftig schütteln und bei Zimmertemperatur aus 30 bis 40 cm Abstand im Kreuzgang auf das senkrecht oder leicht geneigt stehende Objekt sprühen. (Sprührichtung unbedingt außerhalb des Objektes ändern!) Erst auf die gut angetrocknete Bildoberfläche – frühestens nach 4 Wochen – auftragen. Die getrocknete Firnisschicht bleibt löslich in Terpentinersatz (50019), kann jedoch mit Ölfarben übermalt oder mit einem Schlussfirnis auf Testbenzin-Basis überarbeitet werden.
